Brief update: hiatus pending

There are a couple more pieces pre-written that will roll out in the first two weeks of February, but after that I’m probably going to put this Substack on hiatus for a while to figure out what to do with it. It has been a delight, but not necessarily in the way I expected: the pieces I wrote quickest did the best, while those I put most effort into did the worst. The architecture of Substack is a dream to use though: it’s a brilliant tool and I’ve really enjoyed posting here. This is not the end, but articles are likely to be a lot more sporadic after mid-February. A deep thank-you to everyone who has read, subscribed, liked, recommended or commented so far - you have made this endeavour truly worthwhile.
