Here are some of the ways in which different arms of the German bureaucratic state (politicians, police, religious leaders, the publicly-funded national broadcaster) have responded to Friday’s attack on Magdeburg Christmas Market, which has so far claimed the lives of one child and four women and left over 200 people injured, 40 critically.
'Paralysed' is the perfect word here. My social circle isn't even mentioning this. Somebody says 'Christmas market' in an innocent context, then a beat, a shadow passes over the conversation, but nobody's saying anything.
(Also the B&R open thread is missing you Wolfstar come back)
Yes, it's their foreign policy that's the biggie. Mass immigration and Russia are both pressing national security issues. You can't be tough on one and soft on the other.
I'm absolutely aghast at the coalitions with the BSW in Thüringen and Brandenburg. I never thought the CDU/SPD would be so stupid. If you're going to have a "Brandmauer" against the AfD then it should apply to the BSW as well, which is even more extreme in many regards. But the SPD and particularly the CDU forming a coalition with Wagenknecht makes a mockery of even having a Brandmauer against the AfD in the first place.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. It's frightening. Guten Rutsch!
If the AfD was like 5% less retarded they'd have the upcoming election in the bag
